Larry Roberts joined the University of New Haven Education Department in the summer of 2008 as the Professional Education Coordinator for the Southeastern Campus, based at Mitchell College in New London, CT. In this capacity, Larry does a little bit of a lot of things to oversee the education programs that are based at this campus: teaching, advising, supervising both interns and student teachers, hiring part-time faculty, and hosting information sessions. Larry brings a good deal of experience to the job. Prior to joining UNH, he was the principal at East Lyme High School (CT), a Newsweek Top 1000 High School. Besides his sixteen years in public education, he also spent 21 years in independent schools in Delaware, Atlanta and West Hartford, CT where he was a teacher, advisor, coach, dean and, finally, Head of School. He very much enjoys topping off his career by working closely with aspiring teachers at this most challenging time in recent educational history.
