About UNH SHRM

The Society for Human Resource Management student members of the University of New Haven are committed toward the preparation of all of our members for careers in the Human Resources and Industrial/Organizational Psychology fields through the development of skills and abilities in the following areas:

Networking:
Continually improving our networking base to help provide worthwhile services and opportunities to our active members and interested parties.

Mentoring:
We are committed to promoting mentoring from within our organization, among members, and in partnership with current professionals such as the Human Resource Association membership and other contacts we make as an organization.

Effective Communication:
We commit to thorough communication in everything we do and relate how it helps achieve our mission and our current strategies.

Group Problem Solving:
We strive to improve our ability to work as productive team members to create the best alternatives for achieving our organizational goals.

Technological Application:
We encourage the education and implementation of current technology in communicating and designing the services we provide with membership.

Community Service:
(A) Providing services to volunteer and other organizations and;? (B) Developing skills and abilities we gain through participation in these initiatives.
