UNH’s student chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) has received a Superior Merit Award for the 15th consecutive year. The award is based on the achievements and activities sponsored by the chapter during the last year.

Superior Merit AwardThe chapter has hosted speakers on topics related to social media networking, diversity, career options, change management and emotional intelligence. The group also participated in several community service projects. 

“I am impressed by the officers’ outreach to several alumni,” said Stuart Sidle, associate professor and chair of psychology and SHRM faculty advisor. “The chapter provided outstanding opportunities for growth and development to its student members.”

The group also collaborated with the American Society for Training and Development and the Human Resources Association of Greater New Haven to create networking opportunities for UNH students.   

“Winning this award demonstrates that the graduate students who are leading this chapter have done an amazing job of creating worthwhile programs for UNH students,” said Sidle.
