UNH's Theater Program presents The Secret in the Wings, by Mary Zimmerman
Suggested Viewing Age: 12+
The Secret in the Wings is a tangle of lesser-known Grimm's fairytales: The Blind Queens, The Princess Who Wouldn't Laugh, Allerleira, The Snake Leaves Princess, Seven Swans, Stolen Pennies. It explores the "wings" of theater, and takes flight through a series of imaginative leaps. An ogre is an uneasy babysitter. A father, in a fit of impatience, curses his sons. A princess sees only darkness in the world around her. Through music, movement, and laughter, an ensemble cast explores the magic of storytelling through the lens of childhood.
