The new University of New Haven Prato, Italy campus is open for business! Study in the land of fine cuisine, ancient history, and contemporary design, just minutes from Florence, Italy.
Apply by Oct. 15 to study abroad in Italy in Spring 2013.
Unlike other study abroad opportunities the Prato campus is actually a UNH campus in Tuscany Italy. This is the University’s first solely operated international campus and provides an exceptional opportunity for UNH students to immerse themselves in the culture and language of Italy.
And here's some more exciting news- students who participate in the program are billed UNH tuition, room, board, and fees, as if on campus. That means UNH scholarships and aid will be virtually unchanged. Students will travel together on a group flight arranged by UNH and be billed the actual cost of the airfare.
Prato is the second largest city in the region, and while it is only 20 minutes by train from Florence, it is off the beaten path for tourists assuring an authentic Italian cultural experience for students.
Students take a total of 15 credits (5 courses) during the semester. All students take Italian Language and Contemporary Italian Life & Culture, which fulfill UNH core curriculum requirements, in addition to three courses they choose. Full-time UNH faculty from the Psychology and Music departments will teach UNH courses overseas at the Prato campus during the Spring 2013 Semester.
Students of all levels and majors are welcomed to apply. The program has rolling admission open until Oct. 15. For more information and to obtain an application contact, Jennie Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org
