Format
The Master of Arts in Industrial Organizational Psychology Cohort program has been designed for the human resources professional and focuses on enhancing the effectiveness and functioning of organizations by applying psychological principles to human work behavior. This program is being offered in a "cohort" format for busy working professionals with a minimum of 2 years of full time work experience. The cohort students follow the same set schedule and meet one day a week for five weeks per course enabling them to complete the degree in 22 months. This format helps the professional balance graduate school with the demands of family, work, and other responsibilities. Students who complete the cohort curriculum also receive a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management.
Schedule
Classes meet weekly on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and are held in West Haven, CT and New London, CT. There are no classes scheduled on major holiday weekends or during the month of August. This cohort begins at both locations every other September or January.

Admissions Requirements
In additional to the traditional program admissions requirements found here, the I/O Psychology cohort program also requires a minimum of two years of professional experience, preferably in an area related to human resources or in a managerial/supervisory role, or consulting.
