The backbone of ChargerREC is TeamREC, our student employment program.  We only hire UNH students that truly want to be a part of our team and are dedicated to the success of the department.  The training and experiences gained through campus recreation employment lead to lifelong student success and excellence.

    TeamREC Mission

    The mission of TeamREC is to provide an atmosphere of fun, respect, and responsibility in the workplace. Our student professionals must strive to deliver quality programs and services to all members. As a result, they will gain and develop leadership, social, and communication skills.

    Student positions:

    • Customer Service Attendants
    • Fitness Center Attendants
    • RECSport Officials
    • Preventative Maintenance Technicians
    • Group Fitness Instructors
    • Personal Trainers
    • Marketing Interns

    These positions are open to undergraduate, graduate, work study, and bursary students interested in working in a team environment committed to the mission and philosophy of ChargerREC. 

    Group X Instructors/ Personal Trainers

    If you are interested in being a GroupX Instructor or a Personal Trainer, you must already be certified.   Instructors and Trainers are hired on an as-needed basis.   

    RECSports Officials 

    Anyone interested in officiating MUST ATTEND the training dates for their desired sport.  Officials should have general background knowledge of the sports we offer.  The trainings will be in lieu of a typical application and interview process.  Officials are not required to submit applications and/or resumes.   3. Information Sessions

    Information Sessions

    Any student interested in a position with TeamREC MUST ATTEND an Information Session before their application will be considered.  The next Info Sessions for employment will be during the Spring semester, TBA. Both sessions will be in Studio 204 in the Beckerman Recreation Center; you only need to attend one. 

    The sessions will last approximately 30 minutes.  Late comers will NOT be let in, so please plan accordingly.  Once you have attended one of the mandatory information sessions offered, you will need type and print out the Application and Staff Preference Sheet. Remember, your application will not be considered unless you have attended an Information Session.  Along with your application and preference sheet, students are asked to provide a resume, cover letter, and copy of their class schedule.  All applications for fall hiring need to be dropped off at the welcome desk in the Beckerman Recreation Center before noon on October 23, 2014.  Late applications will NOT be accepted. All applications MUST BE TYPED.
