    Biography

    Dr. Khadija Al Arkoubi joined the University of New Haven in the fall 2010. Prior to coming to New Haven, Dr. Al Arkoubi has taught in three different cultural contexts. These are the College of Business of Zayed University in Dubai, UAE; The Department of Management of the University of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM, US; and Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. Dr. Al Arkoubi taught a wide range of courses related to the fields of Human Resource Management (HRM), Human Resource Development (HRD) and Organizational Behavior. Before embarking on an academic career, she worked for the Ministry of Public Works in Morocco as an officer in charge of Human Resource Management studies. Dr. Al Arkoubi's research interests include spiritual leadership, spirituality at work, HRM and HRD in transitioning economies. Throughout her career, she won multiple awards and scholarships, such as the Award of the outstanding doctoral student in research in the Department of Management of New Mexico State University for the year 2005-2006, the second award of the most promising dissertation in management, spirituality and religion offered by the Academy of Management in 2007, the International Peace Scholarship twice (in 2005 & 2006) offered by the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO), and the prestigious Chevening Scholarship offered by the British Government in 1998. Dr. Al Arkoubi is a member of multiple professional associations, such as the Academy of Management (AOM), the Southern Management Association (SMA), and the Academy of Human Resource Development.
