Jennie ShamasnaJennie Shamasna
Director of International Study Opportunities

Jennie Shamasna is currently the Director of International Study Opportunities.  She received her MA in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute located in Brattleboro, Vermont. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Oregon State University.  Jennie has spent time studying, living and working in Mexico, Turkey and Spain. Prior to pursuing her MA, Jennie worked with migrant families within the public school system in Oregon to advocate for their rights and help youth pursue their educational goals. Through these experiences, Jennie has developed a strong commitment to promoting educational and cultural exchanges and views these opportunities as a conduit for making lasting change in the lives of individuals and communities. 

Emily ColeEmily Cole
Coordinator for International Study Opportunities

Emily Cole is the Coordinator of International Study Opportunities. Emily received her M.S. in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. Her graduate studies allowed her to gain several great experiences in the field of international education including an internship at the National University of Ireland, Galway where she worked in the International Affairs Office. During her undergraduate studies at Niagara University, Emily had the opportunity to study abroad for the semester at Edge Hill University, located near Liverpool, England. Other international experiences include a short-term exchange to Italy during high school and travel to France, Germany, the Netherlands, the Bahamas, and Canada. Emily hopes to educate American students on the importance of international understanding and encourage them to take part in a study abroad experience in order for them to gain a first hand knowledge of another culture.

 Nadine Lebek
y Abroad Peer Advisor

Nadine is a junior, double majoring in Forensic Science and Genetics and Biotechnology. She joined the study abroad team after studying abroad at the satellite campus in Prato, Italy in Spring of 2014. She loves tennis and music, and is excited to share her love of studying abroad with other students on campus.



Courtney Williams

Study Abroad Peer Advisor

Courtney Williams is a Junior Music major with a concentration in Musicology and Performance and a Global Studies minor. After studying abroad in Prato, Italy, she immediately wanted to continue being involved with the Study Abroad Office. Music and singing are her passion, she loves to mentor young girls and she travels in her spare time!
