Mr. Hazell owns and operates Boston Lobster Feast, a chain of popular seafood restaurants, and is the proprietor of the Bar Harbor Lobster Co., one of Florida's most successful seafood companies.

He founded Bar Harbor Lobster Co. in 1986 in his garage, filling a niche by shipping lobsters from New England, where he grew up and where he had numerous business connections, to Florida. By 1987, Bar Harbor Lobster Co. had expanded significantly, enabling Mr. Hazell to move his business to a warehouse, where it grew exponentially. The firm now distributes a complete line of live, fresh and frozen seafood to clients ranging from restaurants to grocery stores to specialty shops.

Mr. Hazell received the University's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2007. A generous benefactor to the University, he has been particularly supportive of the University's recently returned football program and the Department of Hospitality and Tourism, including funding the Hazell Nut Café in Maxcy Hall to provide on-the-job training to students from the Hospitality and Tourism program.

Mr. Hazell received a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from the University of New Haven in 1983, and was a member of the University's football team.

Mr. Hazell, who resides in Orlando, has a son, Warner.
