EnPro is a $1 billion provider of products to industrial and processing industries worldwide. Under his leadership, the Charlotte, N.C.-based firm experienced significant increases in sales and earnings every year of its existence and was named one of America's safest companies in 2006 by Occupational Hazards, a magazine focused on safety, health and loss prevention.
Before moving to EnPro, Mr. Schaub was executive vice president of Goodrich Corporation and president and chief operating officer of its Engineered Industrial Products segment. He began his career at AVCO Lycoming in Stratford, Conn., moving up in the ranks before leaving to join Goodrich in 1971. He spent most of his early career at Goodrich in a variety of manufacturing positions of increasing responsibility in the company's industrial and aerospace operations. In 1983, he moved into general management of the company's aircraft wheels and brakes business. He became a group vice president for the company's Aerospace segment in 1986 and a corporate vice president in 1994.
