Kevin Myatt is senior vice president of human resources for Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Yale New Haven Health System. Yale-New Haven Hospital is the second largest employer in the greater New Haven area with more than 7,000 employees.
Mr. Myatt joined Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale New Haven Health System in 2007 as senior vice president of human resources after serving five years as associate vice chancellor and chief human resources officer at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. The Yale New Haven Health System, through its Yale-New Haven, Bridgeport and Greenwich delivery networks, provides comprehensive and cost effective advanced patient care. Mr. Myatt's previous positions included serving as vice president of human resources for Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He has a wealth of human resources experience in both medical and academic settings.
Mr. Myatt has served on the boards of directors for a number of organizations, including Aid to Adoption of Special Kids, Black Family and Child Services in Arizona, and Urban Leagues in Arizona and Nebraska. He also served as director for Aegis Family Health Centers in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and as a trustee for the Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility at Oak Summit, Winston-Salem, and was chair of the Winston-Salem State University Board of Trustees.
Mr. Myatt earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Virginia State University and his master's degree in business administration from Arizona State University.
Mr. Myatt has two daughters and lives in Branford with his wife Gail.
