Michael H. Ambrose is Principal Partner for MH Ambrose Consulting, Ambro Enterprises LLC and retired Vice President Sikorsky Aircraft, Lockheed Martin Corporation

Expertise

Currently Principal Partner for MH Ambrose Consulting, Ambro Enterprises LLC. Prior to this business, Mr. Ambrose had a 38-year career at Sikorsky Aircraft. He held many executive roles, including Chief Engineer and VP of Engineering & Technology, VP Enterprise Business Transformation, VP International Government Programs, and General Manager Precision Components Manufacturing Center. He has earned two patents. Mr. Ambrose has also served as an independent member of the RBC Bearings Inc. board of directors since 2019.

Community Service

Elected to the University of New Haven's Board of Governors in January 2015, Mr. Ambrose currently serves as vice chair. He served as president of the board of directors of the University of New Haven's Alumni Association from 2012-2014 and was a member from 2006 to 2014.

Education

Mr. Ambrose earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Haven. He was a standout member of the track and field team and still owns seven university track records. He was inducted in the University of New Haven Athletics Hall of Fame in 1991. He was also inducted into the University of New Haven Engineering Hall of Fame in 2016. He has a master's degree in engineering management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The University of New Haven awarded him an honorary Doctor of Engineering in 2019.

Personal

Mr. Ambrose and his wife, Diana, have two children, who are both graduates of the University of New Haven. Mr. Ambrose also is an accomplished poet and his work has been published in 35 publications.
