Department of Health Sciences

The Department of Health Sciences at the University of New Haven is a university-wide initiative design to bring together health-related faculty, programs and experiences from across the university community.

At present, the University of New Haven has health-related programs in every college. The Department of Health Sciences is a multidisciplinary home for all health-related faculty in the University for the prepration of new health professions programs; for sponsorship of health-related research and grant/project funding; and for strategic coordination of health-related academic efforts at the University.

Healthcare is one of the most rapidly growing professions in the US and globally. Careers in health professions and the health sciences are expected to grow by more than 20 percent in the next decade. The Department of Health Sciences is designed to bring all of the University's health professions and health sciences programs, faculty and staff together into a single group that will allow us to maximize opportunities to build and expand opportunities for University of New Haven students in the healthcare industry.
