    What is your educational background?

    I received an M.B.A. in Finance at Sacred Heart University and a B.S. in Accounting at Post University. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Higher Ed. Leadership in Management & Policy at Seton Hall.

    How long have you taught at the University of New Haven, and what courses do you teach?

    On the Undergraduate level, I teach: Accounting, Accounting, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Accounting Information Systems. On the Graduate level, I teach: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Financial Accounting.

    How would you describe your role as an advisor and mentor?

    I enjoy discussing career options with students. I believe that by visualizing a future career one is able to better plan to meet the requirements of that career. So, I believe that my role is first career counselor and second an academic advisor.

    What are some fun facts about you?

    Over my life, I made a point to service in various roles in corporate, academia and government. I am most proud of my Military Service: United States Navy - Reserves (1996-2003), Lieutenant - Training & Operations Officer, Expeditionary Logistics & Contracting, United States Marine Corps - Active Duty (1981-1985), Military Police Officer.

    What advice would you give to prospective students and their parents?

    Start career planning early. A career begins with a plan.

    What is your favorite thing about the University of New Haven?

    The current President of the University of New Haven is truly a visionary. Since I have been teaching at the University of New Haven, vast improvements have been made to all aspects of the University.

    How does the University of New Haven's accounting program differ from other reputable colleges and Universities?

    Presently, I believe the CoB is second to none. We currently have a two Dean structure with an Executive Dean and an Academic Dean. This is truly revolutionary and all programs will benefit from this leadership model. Currently, we are exploring exciting new programs which will leverage the strength of our Henry Lee College.

    What professional experience have you had and how does it benefit the University of New Haven accounting students?

    I have been a partner in a CPA firm, Director of CADRE Central Network, a senior internal auditor for a casino, and an IRS agent. I have also been actively involved in various non-profit organizations. I believe these varied experiences have exposed me to many aspects of business that I can share with our students.
