In the very first course, Introduction to Health Professions, you will meet healthcare professionals and University Alumni and find out about the range of new and classic careers in healthcare sciences.
Our program requires every student to complete a 250 hour internship in a healthcare setting as well as a capstone course that will showcase your knowledge and skills.
The Health Sciences core curriculum includes great courses on human biology, health policy, economics, research methods, law, data analysis, leadership, ethics and more, taught by exceptional faculty across the University.
You will also have the opportunity to specialize in some of the fastest growing areas within healthcare including clinical research, healthcare administration, and population health and patient advocacy.
Just 5 minutes away from campus is both Connecticut’s largest health system—Yale New Haven Health—where our faculty and hundreds of University of New Haven Alumni work, and the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center where students can intern or volunteer during the academic year.
You will be connected with University Alumni and faculty mentors who can help guide you on your path to success.
