The University of New Haven offers a wealth of flexible graduate degree programs designed for both seasoned professionals and those who are seeking to enhance their early career experience. UNH has a long history of being a top choice for working professionals in the region who are seeking to further their education by obtaining a master’s degree.
Graduate Cohort Programs for professionals
The cohort format has been designed for busy working professionals with a minimum of 2 years of full time work experience. A cohort is a group of students who follows the same set schedule and progresses through an accelerated program together. The unique scheduling, along with small class sizes, promotes an interactive learning environment and facilitates networking opportunities and career strengthening relationships. Students meet on Saturdays, or one or two nights per week. These part-time, accelerated programs are offered in West Haven and New London, Connecticut.

Traditional Part-Time & Full-time Graduate Degree Programs
Courses in the Graduate School at UNH are offered on a convenient trimester schedule. Each trimester is 13 weeks in length and new trimesters begin in September, January, and April. An abbreviated summer term is also available.
The trimester schedule allows you to accelerate degree completion by completing three full terms in one year instead of two in a semester schedule. Most graduate courses are offered one night per week from 6pm - 9pm. Some courses are also offered in a weekend format or online.
