An exciting opportunity for incoming graduate students!
The University of New Haven offers its highest achieving incoming graduate students the opportunity to participate in the Experiential Graduate Assistantship Program (EGAP). Students offered a Graduate Assistantship (GA) position in this highly competitive program will work 15 - 20 hours per week (550 total hours per academic year) for an academic or administrative department within the university. In return students will receive:
- An experiential learning and work opportunity for the entirety of their graduate program
- A 75% tuition discount
- An hourly wage
Ther is no application process for EGAP. Once a student applies to their academic program and they are accepted into the program, the admissions committee will then evaluate the file for a nomination to interview for an EGAP position.

Types of Graduate Assistantships
Research Assistantship - Students will aid in faculty-mentored research, conduct their own research, or conduct research for an administrative office related to the students' field of study.
Teaching Assistantship - Responsibilities may include grading papers, preparing and teaching labs, and tutoring undergraduate students. Duties will vary by department.
Graduate Associateship- Students will assist with high-level administrative projects and assignments directly related to the students' field of study.
All Graduate Assistantship positions will encompass one or more of the Experiential Pillars to ensure that all GA's receive a quality experiential work opportunity for the duration of their time as a graduate student.
