Students from Connecticut are invited to campus to meet one-on-one with an admissions counselor and participate in an Admission Interview and/or an Onsite Application Review! Interviews are only required for Early Decision Applicants, but we encourage all students to consider an interview as a way for our admissions staff to learn more about you and as a supplement to your application. Most students will participate in both the interview and the instant decision program, but you are certainly welcome to do just one or the other.
How to participate in an Instant Decision Day:
An Instant Decision Day appointment offers applicants the chance to receive an admissions decision on-the-spot! This meeting will also provide a great opportunity for you and your family to speak with an admissions counselor one-on-one about merit-based scholarship opportunities, financial aid, academic programs, visit opportunities and more! Please note this event is for students applying as full-time first-year undergraduate students only. Transfer students have separate programs. In order to have your application reviewed for admission, you must submit your Common Application at least two days before your scheduled appointment. Plan to bring the following materials in an official sealed envelope from your high school, OR confirm that all of your application materials have been received by our office prior to your appointment:
- Official High School Transcript
- Official SAT or ACT Scores
- Letter of Recommendation from an Academic Source (at least 1)
- Early Decision Contract (Only for students applying under the Early Decision Application deadline.)
Admission Interviews are informational and allow you to meet one-on-one with a member of our admissions staff and have all of your questions answered. While an interview is required for students who apply under our Early Decision admission program, it is certainly recommended and welcomed for all prospective students. Admission Interviews last for approximately 20 - 30 minutes.
