Heather Brown

Coordinator of Transfer Enrollment

I first came to the University of New Haven in 2006 as an undergraduate student studying chemistry. I graduated in 2010 with a BS in criminal justice – investigative services, after changing my major twice. Now that I am back with the university, I have begun taking mechanical engineering courses to get back to the sciences that I have always enjoyed. Because of my own winding path at UNH I tell students that it is completely acceptable to not have a goal in mind when they start out.

As a student I was extremely involved in everything UNH has to offer – from The Charger Bulletin, our student newspaper, to the Undergraduate Student Government Association, to Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority. There are over 150 student-run clubs and organizations to get involved in and with all the events that these clubs plan campus is never boring! I have stayed involved with our students by advising two of the organizations that made my college career so enjoyable.

I chose the University of New Haven because of how it has so much to offer in such a little package. I looked into attending larger institutions, but the moment I walked onto campus as a junior in high school I knew this was for me. I loved my time as a student at UNH so much that I chose to come back and help prospective students find their fit here.
