What does our Management degree offer you?
The Management degree at the University of New Haven (both at the Undergraduate and Graduate level) is designed to allow students to foster their leadership and directing talents to help run a variety of businesses. The coursework is designed to help students appreciate tough and ethical decision making when faced with various constraints such as financial, personnel, technology, competition, government regulations, and a host of other concerns. Through utilizing experiential education and case studies, students will be encouraged to evaluate various options and learn how to make critical decisions. That is what separated the University of New Haven from many other business schools. We integrate the entire curriculum so students get exposed to accounting, finance, marketing, economics, quantitative analysis, business law, and data management and then have to leverage such course work into a capstone that leverages such knowledge.
The goal of our curriculum is to prepare students for careers. Our results speak for themselves as our students work at and thrive at the following companies:
- JP Morgan
- Aetna Insurance
- Pitney Bowes
- United Illuminating
- General Electric
- Black and Decker
- Georgia Pacific
- Budget Rent a Car
All management students are required to undertake an experiential learning component in their degree which can include an internship, practicum, or industry specific independent study. Our goal is that students will find something or we will help them find something that will be most effective in finding out what they want to do and/or find out what they do not like to do.
