The Career Development Center has developed a Career Development Success Certificate for students to develop skills in career planning and research.
You can choose activities from the below three areas of career development:
Assessment and Exploration
Take the career assessment FOCUS, conduct an informational interview, job shadow or explore career research websites.
Building Professional Experience
Join a club related to your major or career goals, volunteer, or obtain an internship or job related to your field.
Plan Your Career
Become familiar with ChargerLink, draft your resume and cover letter, take a graduate or professional school preparation exam, attend CDC sponsored workshops, mock interview or attend a career fair.
What you receive after completion:
- Professional development and preparedness to enter your career of choice.
- An opportunity to note the certificate on your resume, demonstrating to employers that you are committed to career planning.
- Notation on your co-curricular transcript
- UNH Recognition
- A certificate!
These events are not sequential in nature but you must earn a specific amount of points for each activity to be awarded the certificate. If you are interested in completing this program, please contact Dina Wulinsky, Career Development Advisor, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 203-479-4230 to develop a plan of action.
