The Tagliatela College of Engineering is comprised of three academic departments: Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science, and Mechanical, Civil & Environmental Engineering. Due to the small size of the college and administration of the interdisciplinary Multidisciplinary Engineering Foundation Spiral Curriculum, the faculty work closely together on curriculum development, teaching, research and scholarship, addressing student needs and advancing the college's strategic plan. This is facilitated by the Center for Engineering and Applied Science Education Research housed within the college.
The faculty includes 37 full-time members with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and numerous highly experienced adjunct faculty. Our faculty strive to provide the best engineering and applied science education that enable our graduates to be highly competitive both locally and nationally.
More than 95% of our full-time faculty hold a Ph.D., the appropriate terminal degree in their field. The adjunct faculty who are professionals (engineers, scientists, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and managers) from business and industry are selected strategically to best serve our students and the strategic directions of the college.
The Tagliatela College of Engineering offers the following degree and certificate programs in engineering and applied sciences at the undergraduate and graduate levels:
Chemical Engineering (BS)
Civil Engineering (BS)
Computer Engineering (BS)
Cyber Systems (BS)
General Engineering (BS)
4+1 Mechanical Engineering (BS/MS)
