About Robert

I serve as a Professor of Management at the University of New Haven where I teach Leadership and Business Strategy to Executive MBA participants. I received my Ph.D. in Human Resources and Organizational Studies from the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Business. I have been the recipient of Sloan Foundation Grants, and received fellowships at Yale University and the Department of Defense. The American Council of Education (ACE) named me a "Fellow" in the 1999 – 2000 school year. I am also a founding partner of AIM Consulting Associates where I currently work as Strategy and Leadership Development Consultant for a diverse array of public and private sector organizations including Novartis, AstraZeneca, Swarovski, the U. S. Department of Transportation, and the Department of Homeland Security.

During a 20 year Coast Guard career, I have served as the Associate Dean of Academics at the U. S. Coast Guard Academy, as well as Chair of the Academy's Leadership and Management Department. My areas of expertise include, Strategic Business Planning, Leadership Development and Conflict Resolution. I have published in a wide array of scholarly journals on such topics as business strategy, leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational change. The American Management Association Press (AMACOM) published my recent book "A Complete Guide to Conflict Resolution in the Workplace".

Before entering the consulting field, as a graduate of the U. S. Coast Guard Academy, I served as the skipper of an award winning Coast Guard patrol boat engaged in narcotics interdiction in south Florida.
