New Haven Register, September 15, 2012: In 2004, UNH dropped its football program due to budgetary issues but returned in 2009. The Chargers went 5-5 that first year. Coached by Peter Rossomando, a defensive line coach on the ’97 team, and armed with quarterback Ryan Osiecki of Seymour, a transfer from Louisville, the Chargers went 8-2 in 2010. By 2011, they were 11-2 and NE-10 champs.
