Register for New Student Orientation (SOAR)

Before you start your amazing journey at University of New Haven, you will be going through an orientation program known as Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR).

SOAR is a mandatory program that allows you to meet fellow classmates, familiarize yourself with University programs and services, as well as provide an oversight of academic and student life. One of the perks of attending this program is that you will receive your schedule of classes for the fall. All students - including commuters - stay overnight in a residence hall.

Parents can also attend SOAR - they will come on the same date that you choose, but will attend a separate parent-specific orientation. Parents do not stay on campus; they make their own overnight arrangements.

SOAR takes place on the following dates:

  • First-Year Students: June 16-17, June 20-21, June 23-24, June 27-28, July 7-8, July 11-12
  • Transfer Students: June 22, July 6

*CHECK BACK SOON FOR SOAR REGISTRATION.* You will select your specific SOAR dates on the registration form when it becomes available.

What do I need to do to complete Step 3?
  • Registration for SOAR will open soon. Until then, simply make note of the dates, begin to determine which date works best for you, and return to this page often to look for the registration link.
