College Life

What was the best lesson you learned in College:

Never let anyone tell you that you can't do something, if you want to. I have ADD myself, and once a teacher actually told me I wouldn't be able to pass her class because of this. I stuck with it and got the assistance I needed and got an A+ in the class. If you want something enough, do everything you can to silence the nay-sayers.

What was your favorite college class, why?

I took a psychology class on the theory of learning. It really helped me to understand how people learn and we got to do a lot of cool things to try and trick our brains.

What staff person had the most influence on you in college, why?

In my undergraduate school, the greenhouse manager really inspired me. He had traveled all over the world doing what he loved, and I really admired that about him. At UNH, the staff at the admissions and registrar's offices had the most influence on me and my ability to get my degree. Without them, I would've struggled to be where I am today. Also, they always were friendly and extremely helpful, even when I was frustrated and ready to cry, they were able to help me.

What was your most embarrassing moment in college?

I was in a management class and we were doing a negotiation simulation project. I was the only girl in my group and the only girl elected to be a representative. As I was walking to the "meeting" with the other group representatives, my high heels got caught on my pants and I tripped, spinning around and landing face first into the wall. I wasn't hurt, but my pride sure was.
Tips for Students

    Crystal says:

"It is ok not be perfect 100% of the time. If you try to do your best each time, and still keep a balanced life, than your efforts will be rewarded and you won't wear yourself out."
