Online Notetaker Training

Online Notetaker Training

CAS is confident in the volunteer notetaker’s ability to do a job well done and it is our duty to provide him/her with all the possible tools to do so. Below is the link to the Online Notetaker Training. This online training is aimed at helping the volunteer to understand how to become an effective notetaker for students with disabilities and the information will be helpful to use throughout the notetaking experience.

Please be aware that even though this training is specified for students who are notetaking for deaf peers, this is no indication of a disability any particular student may have. There are many reasons a student may need a notetaker outside of being hearing impaired, and this program provides an in-depth training appropriate for all disabilities.

The training site allows you to create a username and password, so you can log back in anytime you would like to review the material. Once you complete the training, there will be a Certificate of Completion that you can print. This certificate is what you will turn into CAS.
