Baggage, Mail, and Textbooks

Baggage:
Upon arrival in the U.S., you will complete a customs declaration. Most personal and household belongings may be imported duty free. The U.S. consular officer in your country can give you information about customs regulations. Do not mail baggage to the university. The university lacks storage facilities for baggage mailed in advance.

Mail:
Until you reach UNH and have a permanent address, mail may be sent to you in care of UNH International Services Office, 300 Boston Post Road, West Haven, CT 06516. Please be sure to instruct your friends and relatives to mark your mail with your name.

Textbooks:
Bringing textbooks used in previous studies is not recommended. All students are expected to purchase the textbooks required by their instructors. Reference books are available in the library.
