Ten Guest Commandment

I. All guests must call their host, be signed in by the host and be escorted to the host’s room.
 
II. Only students assigned to a room/suite/apartment may reside there. A student may not sublet his/her room/ suite/apartment to another person.
 
III. Any guest must be registered with, and present proper identification to, the Resident Assistant or other authorized University person on duty for the time(s)the guest will be in the residence hall. Upon request, such guest(s) must also present proper identification to any authorized University official. Overnight guests are permitted only on Friday and Saturday nights.
 
IV. You must have the permission of your roommate if your guest will be using that person’s bed.
 
V.  Overnight guests may be registered for only two consecutive nights and for only four nights a month.
 
VI. The maximum number of overnight guests permitted is one per UNH resident student.
 
VII. Residential Life staff members or other authorized University personnel may ask that a guest show his/her ID; failure to do so may result in the guest’s removal from the hall. A University Official may request at anytime that a guest leaves the residence hall. In the event of a policy violation, a University Official may deny a guest permission to visit in the building pending the outcome of a judicial hearing.

VIII. Hosts are responsible for informing guests of all policies and procedures. Hosts will be held financially responsible and subject to disciplinary action as a result of guests’ inappropriate behavior. Hosts should escort their guests at all times in the residence halls.

IV. No guest will be permitted to sleep in common areas or in the lounges of any building.
 
X. Violations of the guest policy may result in the loss of Guest Privileges.
