Greg Overend
Director of Student Activities
The Director of Student Activities is responsible for the day to day operations of the Office of Student Activities and supervising the graduate assistants and student employees. The Director is also responsible for initiating and coordinating campus wide programs, providing event planning assistance, and serving a resource for all UNH clubs and organizations. In addition, the Director advises the Undergraduate Student Government Association, Inter Fraternity-Sorority Council (IFSC), Chariot Yearbook and Charger Bulletin (campus newspaper). The Director also plays a vital role in the SOAR program (orientation) both in facilitating the program and with hiring and supervising the Orientation Leaders.
Greg Overend has been the Director of Student Activities since August of 2003 when he joined the UNH community. He graduated in 1993 from Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics and in 1996 graduated from Rider University with his Master's degree in Human Services Administration.
Shelissa Newball
Assistant Director of Student Activities
The Assistant Director of Student Activities is responsible for overseeing UNH's Greek Life community and coordinating the LEAD and LEGOs leadership programs. In addition, the Assistant Director manages the info desk student workers and assists in the implementation of the SOAR program (orientation).
Shelissa attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT where she received her Bachelor’s in African American Studies. In 2008 she received her Masters degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut.
Kirsten Ellison
Coordinator of Student Activities
The Coordinator for Student Activities is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating most aspects of event programming. In addition to event programming, the Coordinator is also responsible for collaborating with clubs and organizations to plan Twisted Thursdays and Late Night Programming along with advising SCOPE (Student Committee of Programming Events).
Kirsten joined the Office of Student Activities in September of 2012. She is originally from Northwest Indiana and attended Indiana University as an undergraduate student. After being involved with Orientation and numerous clubs and organizations, she decided to pursue a Masters Degree in College Student Personnel Administration at Marquette University and graduated in 2012.
Milva McGhee
Interim Coordinator of Graduate Student Services & Student Activities
The Interim Coordinator for Graduate Student Services and Student Activities is responsible for representing the needs of all Graduate and Evening students and will advise the Graduate and Evening Student Councils. Will also work with recognized student organizations to provide assistance with event details, budgeting, advertising, set-up requests, and relevant campus guidelines.
Andrew Mayer
Office Coordinator
The Office Coordinator is responsible for managing vendor contracts, check requests, Charger Connection, the Student Activities webpage, registration processes for events, supporting the SOAR program, key distributions for club and organization facilities as well as work orders. The Office Coordinator also manages the Game Room and Work Study staff.
Andrew joined the UNH community in the summer of 2011 as the Office Coordinator. In 2010 he graduated from Lasell College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Event Management. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from UNH part time.
Tiffany Wynn
Graduate Assistant
Tiffany is first year graduate student at UNH. She grew up and resides in New Haven, Connecticut. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Community Psychology with concentration in Forensic Psychology. In 2012, Tiffany graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, TN with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology.
Amber Monck
Graduate Assistant
Amber is a first year graduate student at UNH. She grew up and resides in Milford, Connecticut. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Community Psychology with a clinical concentration. In 2012, she graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology.
Erica Weiglhofer
Graduate Assistant
Erica is a first year Graduate student at UNH. She grew up in Albany, New York and is currently pursuing a Masters in Forensic Science-Advanced Investigation. In 2012, she graduated from SUNY College at Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
Anisha Simpson
Graduate Assistant
Anisha is currently a second year student at UNH. She currently resides in Connecticut, but grew up in New York. Anisha is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Forensic Science-Advanced Investigation. She graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.
