Engineering Living Learning Community

Students in the Tagliatela College of Engineering (TCoE) can take advantage of a special engineering Living Learning Community (LLC), mentored by a full-time faculty member, during their freshman year. The Engineering LLC allows freshman engineering and applied science students to live together on one floor of a residence hall, take similar courses, meet with faculty mentors throughout the year, and participate in special group activities both in the residence hall and off campus. Living Learning Community students are also provided with tutoring services in their residence hall. The experience of the LLC program has been extremely pleasing and positive, while increasing the persistence of these students.

In the upcoming 2015-2016 school year, students accepted into the Engineering LLC will have the opportunity to participate in a more intensive experience geared towards Entrepreneurial Engineering. Please contact Jean Nocito-Gobel at for more information or to express your interest in being in the Entrepreneurial Engineering LLC.

What Does an LLC Advisor Do?

The LLC Advisor serves as a mentor to the residents. The advisor works closely with the Resident Assistant to plan events and trips centered around the theme of the LLC. Advisors hold office hours inside the residence hall so they can work closely with their students.
