University Archives

The University Archives is a collection of primary documents produced by this institution beginning as the New Haven Division of Northeastern University in 1920, then becoming independent, as New Haven Preparatory School, New Haven YMCA Junior College, New Haven College, to the present University of New Haven.

Catalogs from the earliest days to the present are included. We have had requests from former students needing program or course descriptions from as far back as 20 years, for whom we've provided photocopies from the catalog for the requested year. Other material includes publications by faculty and students, university-published journals, Departmental reports on such topics as starting up new programs and courses, an archival copy of each college yearbook, Masters and Doctoral theses, photos of buildings, classrooms, sports teams, faculty and staff, etc., programs and posters from events held on the campus, copies of the student newspaper, beginning with the New Haven YMCA Junior College News in 1928, through the New Haven College News, to the present Charger Bulletin, as well as articles about University of New Haven clipped from the New Haven Register and other newspapers, and much more.

For faculty publications in the general circulating collection please use the Library Catalog and search under the faculty member's name.

Items in the Archives cannot be borrowed, but many can be viewed in the library if requested in advance. The Archives material is available for University Departments to use in the production of publications or events for the university.

Please contact the University Librarian for these requests.
