I was born and raised in China and obtained my Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of New Haven. Like many aspiring international students, I came to the United States to pursue an advanced degree and to advance personally and professionally. New Haven is now where I call home. I enjoy all of the arts and cultures this historical city has to offer; I especially like hiking in autumn when the famous New England foliage is in full display. It is beautiful!
At the beginning of every semester when we pick up our new international students at the airport and welcome them to the campus, I can see the excitement and anticipation on their faces and I can feel it in my heart because I was once in their shoes. I love listening to their stories about their journey to the United States. As Director of International Recruitment, I have the opportunity to assist our international students achieve their academic and personal success at the University of New Haven.
