Federal Relief Funding Programs

The United States Federal Government passed two acts related to the global coronavirus pandemic that provided funding for students and the Institution. Both the Coronavirus Assistance, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) featured support for higher education, including emergency grants for students facing expenses due to COVID-19.

Funding under CRRSAA - called Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF) - was distributed to University of New Haven students twice in 2021. HEERF III funds were distributed to University of New Haven students in October, 2021. HEERF II funds were distributed in March, 2021. Funding under the CARES Act was distributed to University of New Haven students in Fall 2020.
