To accommodate this potential, businesses need employees trained in business practices, statistics, and programming. The University of New Haven's master’s in Business Analytics has been designed to provide graduates with a thorough understanding on how to use and deploy predictive analytics and visualization for maximum results.

Our program, which was designed through a collaboration of top faculty in the departments of Economics and Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, and Management, can be completed, on average, in 18 months (four semesters), You’ll develop a thorough understanding of data’s profit potential across all business areas and learn how to use and deploy predictive analytics, machine learning, and data visualization for maximum results.

The M.S. in Business Analytics program is also offered online.

As a graduate student in Business Analytics, you’ll gain a more specialized alternative than you would pursuing an MBA. You will also build a solid foundation that prepares you for jobs across a wide variety of industries, from the traditional sectors of e-commerce and finance to industries that are adopting modern business techniques, such as healthcare, higher education, government, and professional sports.

STEM-Designated Program

The University of New Haven's M.S. in Business Analytics is STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) designated by the federal government, as it is purposefully designed to instill in our students the technical expertise that employers told us they are looking for in their future hires. You will be well-prepared to crunch the data and present it in a form that busy, high-level executives can use to make decisions, making you indispensable to your workplace.

STEM designated educational programs also make it possible for international graduates, to remain stateside for an additional 24 months after graduation and receive training through work experience.

  • Hospitality and Service Analytics: You will learn how to improve decision-making and operational efficiency in the hospitality, tourism and service industry.
  • Marketing Analytics: You will learn to develop and use analytics algorithms to evaluate a significant amount of marketing data from multiple sources

According to "Investing in America’s Data Science and Analytics Talent: The Case for Action" by the Business-Higher Education Forum in Collaboration with PWC: There were 2.35 million documented data science and analytics-related job postings back in 2015, and that number was projected to grow to 2.72 million by 2020. It did, according to IBM. Where does it go from there? It goes up another 11 percent by 2024, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
