Political Science Professor Serves as Election Observer in Armenia

Olena Lennon, Ph.D., an adjunct professor of political science at the University of New Haven, reflects on her trip to Armenia in June as part of an Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Election Observation Mission to observe early parliamentary elections. She discusses her role in the mission, visiting Armenia, and what she learned, as well as how she plans to draw on her experience in the classroom.

Virtual Capstone Design Expo 2021

The Capstone Design Expo is an opportunity for our students to showcase the results from their capstone design course. Student teams work to create a specific design solution for a "customer's" real and unique need. Design and design education are, by their nature, experiential and collaborative, and our design team sponsors are our key collaborators. As a result of this collaboration, students bring energy and new ideas to meet the design need.

University’s New Actuarial Science Program Looks to Position Students for Exciting, Well-Paid Positions

Beginning this fall, the University of New Haven will offer a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, a degree combining mathematics, business, statistics, and finance. Actuaries are especially sought after among insurance companies, and the University’s proximity to the “insurance capital of the world” will offer students a variety of internship and employment opportunities.
