Hire a Bursary Student

Any University of New Haven student, undergraduate or graduate, who is enrolled and registered full time for classes is eligible for Bursary employment. Students are only eligible to work when they are registered for classes.

Step One -

Fill out a Bursary Request Form and forward it to Sharon Cox in the Business Office. This  form requests the student's name, amount of funding allocated, work period, total hours to work, rate of pay, and most importantly the Bursary Account Number ( the account that will fund the student worker).

Step Two -

Once the request has been approved, the Financial Aid Office will be notified. The student may then pick up their employment paperwork. Please allow enough time for the approval process to occur before the date you need the student to begin working.

Step Three -

After the student and supervisor have filled out the required paperwork and returned it to Financial Aid, they will receive a Work Authorization Card. Once you have the work authorization card from the student, they are allowed to begin work.

If you are interested in finding student workers for an Bursary position please contact Steve Brown at 203-932-7469 or sbrown@newhaven.edu.  Postings will be seen on this site for campus wide viewing.
