About Hui
I graduated from the University of Georgia in August 2024 with a Ph.D. in Kinesiology, specializing in Sport Management and Policy. Prior to that, I earned my M.S. in Sport Management from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (Sichuan, China) in 2017 and my B.A. in Finance with a minor in English from the same institution in 2014, with exchange experiences at the University of New Mexico. My extensive background includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Georgia, managing administration for the UGA at Oxford Program, leading group fitness classes, and supervising youth campers. I have contributed to research with peer-reviewed articles, under-review papers, and numerous conference presentations on topics such as sports fan engagement, social network structure, and emotional expression in athletes. My athletic achievements include national-level recognition in rhythmic gymnastics and tennis in China, and I hold multiple certifications in fitness instruction, personal training, and corrective exercise. I joined the University of New Haven in 2024 as a Lecturer in the Sport Management Department and am excited to engage with our awesome students and collaborate with a dedicated team.
