About Sarah
I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Specialization in Environmental and Biological Conservation. While implementing wildlife population research at the University of Virginia, The Ohio State University, and Swarthmore College, I began coordinating and planning environmental outreach programs for diverse public audiences. I became well practiced in translating scientific research and environmental topics into content that is relatable and understandable to community partners, local landowners, small children, and everyone in between! I deeply appreciate the immense value of reaching into the local community and beyond to connect people with the natural world and research going on around them. As the lab and outreach manager for the Canal Dock Marine Science Center, I strive to foster this connection every day to inspire our community members to engage in and advocate for the preservation of our marine ecosystems.
