Karthick Ramakrishnan, professor of political science at the University of California Riverside will speak on Wednesday, April 30 on “The Future of U.S. Immigration Reform.”
The talk, sponsored by the political science program, will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Moulton Lounge.
Ramakrishnan’s research focuses on civic participation, immigration policy and the politics of race, ethnicity and immigration in the United States. He has published in numerous academic and popular forums including New York University’s Law Review, Perspectives on Politics, Political Research Quarterly, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times.
Recently, he appeared on MSNBC to discuss a new project he is working on to gather data on Asian-Americans.
