Recipient: UNH Alumni Association Scholarship
Nutrition and Dietetics
Celina is a tutor in the Center for Learning Resources for nutrition and dietetics classes. She is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society that recognizes first-year students for academic excellence, and she is a member of the Nutrition and Dietetics Advisory Committee. She is taking premedical courses and hopes to pursue a career in the medical field. During the summer, she volunteers at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, N.J.
Hope For the Future
“I plan to become a registered dietetic technician at the hospital where I volunteer,” she said. “My ultimate goal is to attend medical school and become a doctor.”
Why She is Grateful
“I am the first child in my family who will graduate from college,” she said. “This scholarship has not only honored me but also my parents, who have sacrificed so much for me. I am now able to set a good example for my younger sibling, who will be attending college in the fall. I hope that when I become successful in my career, I will be able to help another student in need pursue their dreams.”
