Hope for the future
"My goal after graduating is to find a job where I can make a difference. At some point in my career, I would like to teach."
Why he is grateful
"I served active duty in the Air Force from 2002 to 2006. When my contract was fulfilled, I decided to go back to school to pursue an education so I would be better prepared to help myself, my family and less fortunate people in the community. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 2010 and decided to pursue my master’s degree at UNH. I am now in my last semester, and my veteran’s benefits were due to run out during the semester. This caused a good deal of stress knowing that I worked so hard and made it so far, yet I still faced the possibility that I would not be able to finish the program. This scholarship makes a world of difference and puts me that much closer to my goal."
