Anthony Scillia '79
Anthony Scillia is the Regional Managing Partner of the New England region at Marcum LLP, one of the largest independent public accounting and advisory service firms in the nation.
Expertise
Mr. Scillia is also a member of the Marcum's Executive and Management committees as well as a member of the Firm's national Construction and Transaction Services practices. A nationally recognized construction accounting expert, Mr. Scillia is frequently called upon to act as expert witness in claim litigation, arbitration and mediation matters. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences, is well published in trade journals and has sat on the editorial board of Construction Accounting & Taxation magazine. Mr. Scillia is a technical reviewer for the AICPA Accounting Guide-Construction Contractors, which is the authoritative standard for construction accounting. Recently, Mr. Scillia led the team that audited the University of Connecticut's $2.3 billion UCONN 2000 and 21st Century UConn campus rebuilding projects.
Community
Mr. Scillia joined the Board of Governors at the University of New Haven in 2013. Mr. Scillia has three decades of community service in and around New Haven, including current and past board seats at the Shubert Performing Arts Center, Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, Easter Seals Goodwill Industries Rehabilitation Center, John B. Pierce Foundation, the Links to College Foundation and was named a lifetime honorary board member of the Walter Camp Football Foundation in the Winter of 2013.
Education
Mr. Scillia earned a bachelor's degree in financial accounting from the University of New Haven. He has CPA certification in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York. A graduate of Amity Regional High School, Mr. Scillia was inducted into the Amity Hall of Honor in 2012 for his distinguished work in the field of business.

Mr. Scillia lives in Branford with his wife, JoAnn, and their son, Nicolas.
