Student Resources

The Center for Analytics provides students with experiential education through student employment, internships, and independent research opportunities. The majority of these opportunities are funded through sponsored programs, such as grants and contracts. Students participating in these programs often develop data to support ongoing research efforts within the U.S. Government, develop analytic products to support policy makers within partner organizations, or conduct research.

Experiences vary within CFA depending upon the programs available each semester. Most students will participate in encoding of data. These positions provide students with funding to develop data sets and gain expertise in the regions of study. Other students will participate in analytic programs, where partner organizations such as United Airlines will task students with developing analytic products to answer strategic questions.
