WHAT THEY'RE SAYING

This Partnership is Near and Dear to Our Hearts
"By offering tuition benefits to the city’s public safety personnel, employees, and its high school graduates, we are supporting those who dedicate their lives to serving others and investing in the future of West Haven. This partnership is near and dear to our hearts because we want to showcase the value that we add to the West Haven community. We want to recruit as many Westies as we possibly can." - President Jens Frederiksen, Ph.D.

Investing in the People Who Provide Service
"By providing this benefit, the University is investing in the very people who provide service to them every day, and it is an extremely attractive tool for our city to recruit and retain, and it also helps us build morale, as we want our public safety officials to know we value the work that they do every single day. We really want to be able to uplift our community by offering these benefits." - Mayor Dorinda Borer
