About Me

My research on the relationship between attitudes and consumption intentions in spectator sport setting contribute to the knowledge in sport marketing field. Consumer behavior in sports, more specifically how fans and participants make consumption decisions is the starting block of marketing in sports. I use my knowledge and understanding of the topics in both undergraduate and graduate sport marketing classes. I also focus on understanding unique aspects of women’s sporting events, and influence of media and marketing on women’s sporting events. Women’s sports have had hard time surviving in the U.S. and I hope to provide insights to the industry with findings of my scholarly work. Lastly, my research on branding of Turkish soccer teams reveals differences in business approaches and culture between European and American sports. I utilize this information in International Sport Management class to present differences in sports around the world and help students gain international perspective.
