- Graduates of the programs in chemistry and the double major in chemistry/forensic
science are particularly employable due to their sound chemistry background and interdisciplinary
- Recent alumni are employed at crime labs and government agencies, major pharmaceutical
firms, chemical companies,and academic research labs. Employers include Bayer, Pfizer, Olin, the DEA, Asarco/Enthone, the EPA, MacDermid, Clairol, the DEP,
Union Carbide, Upjohn, Cytec, the FBI, Clean Harbors, Unilever, Bristol-Myers Squibb,
CK Witco (Uniroyal), and state and municipal crime labs in AZ, CA, CT, DC, GA, MA,
ME, NJ, NY, TX, and VT.
Chemistry students have chosen to pursue advanced degrees at the University of New
Haven and at other prestigious graduate schools, including Yale, UMASS, Wesleyan University,
St. John's University, University of Buffalo, University of Minnesota, University
of South Carolina, and University of Nebraska.
