An analysis of the determinants of valuation for common stocks, preferred stocks, bonds, convertible bonds and preferred stock, stock warrants, and puts and calls. Emphasis will be placed on the analytic techniques of security analysis, portfolio analysis, and portfolio selection.
This course covers the financing requirements for a new business start-up. Students will learn the process of evaluating a venture and structuring the deal for raising money to finance the business.
An introduction to the theory and determination of foreign exchange rates, mechanisms of adjustment to balance of payments disturbance, fixed vs. flexible exchange rates. The international reserve supply mechanism and proposals for reform of the international monetary system.
A comprehensive analysis of the structure of optimal decisions relative to the functional areas of corporate financial decision making. Emphasis is placed on developing an understanding of the applications and limitations of decision models for the investment, financing, and dividend decisions of the corporation. Topics include firm valuation, capital budgeting, risk analysis, cost of capital, capital structure, and working capital management.

The Application Process
We offer a comprehensive financial aid program, with students receiving assistance in the form of grants, scholarships, student loans, and part-time employment. Funds are available from federal and state governments, private sponsors, and from university resources. More than 85 percent of the University's full-time undergraduate students receive some form of financial assistance.
