Success Advisor

Josh (he/him/his) graduated with both a B.S. in Forensic Science and an M.A. in Community Psychology from the University of New Haven. Josh is part of a team of Success Advisors who support the College of Arts and Science, Pompea College of Business, and the School of Health Science.

Helena Cole

Director, Centers for Academic Success and Advising

Helena Cole graduated with an A.B. degree in History and Italian from Bryn Mawr College. She received her M.Ed in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland, and her M.A. in Humanities from Hood College. Helena started working at the University of New Haven as the Director of the Centers for Academic Success and Advising in January 2013.

Associate Director, Curriculum Development and Faculty Programming
Success Advisor

Lynn DeRobertis graduated with a B.S. degree in Nursing from Boston College and a M.S. in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University. Lynn has been a Student Success Advisor since 2000. Lynn supervises the Academic Peer Mentor program and focuses on sophomore student success. She also serves as the Advisor to Lamda Alpha Upsilon.

Lynn leads a team of Success Advisors to support the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences and the Pompea College of Business.

Alice Guido

Persistence Advisor

Alice majored in English Comp and minored in Classics at Mount Holyoke; she has a Master’s in Film Study from Wesleyan. She began her relationship with the University of New Haven in 1989 as an English adjunct faculty, added Writing Lab tutor in the CLR and Student Success Advisor for the Center for Student Success.

Alice is a persistence advisor who works with our students on academic probation.

Jim graduated with a B.A. in History from Central Connecticut State University and received his M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Post University in Waterbury, CT. Jim joined University of New Haven’s Center for Student Success as a Success Advisor in 2017.

Jim is part of a team of Success Advisors who support the College of Arts and Science, Tagliatela College of Engineering and the School of Health Science.

Aschlee Riendeau

Aschlee graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Anthropology and received her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University. Aschlee has been a Student Success Advisor since 2010 and also serves as the Advisor to Alpha Lambda Delta and SPECTRA.

Aschlee is part of a team of Success Advisors who support the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences and the Pompea College of Business.
